'Moose in the Room:’ Indigenous Men and Violence Against Indigenous Women

In this essay, Innes and Anderson explore the issue of violence against Indigenous women by Indigenous men. In particular they examine the perpetuation of stereotypes that accompanies conversations on this issue as well as some communities’ unease in engaging in these discussions. They also explore such movements as the Moose Hide Campaign and the Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin – I am a Kind Man program.
