General Information

Ocean Man is a Nêhiyaw (Cree), Nakota/Nakoda (Assiniboine), and Anishinaabe (Ojibwe, Saulteaux) First Nation located to the south-east of Regina, Saskatchewan. They are signatories to Treaty 4, which the group signed in 1875. Ocean Man First Nation is affiliated with the Yorkton Tribal Council. As of 2022, Ocean Man has a registered population of 564. Ocean Man was amalgamated with White Bear First Nation in 1901, but the group regained independent status in 1988.
