General Information
White Bear is a Nêhiyaw (Cree), Dakota, Nakota, and Anishinaabe (Ojibwe, Saulteaux) First Nation located to the south-east of Regina, Saskatchewan. They are signatories to Treaty 4, which the group signed in 1875, but their reserves are located within the land designated to Treaty 2. As of 2022, White Bear has a registered population of 2,858. In 1901, Ocean Man First Nation and Pheasant Rump Nakota were amalgamated with White Bear, but the groups were reconstituted in 1988 and 1990 respectively.
