Victoria Daigneault Interview

Abstract

Victoria Daigneault, Durocher her maiden name, moved to Île-à-la-Crosse in 1943. She went to school at the Beauval Indian Residential School. Her parents were William Durocher and Marie Adele Laliberte. Daniel Daigneault was her husband. William Durocher and Marie Adele Lalibert, and her paternal grandparents Hermeline Morin and Paul Durocher, were from Beauval. Her maternal grandparents, Alexander Laliberte and Marie Isabelle Iron, were from Canoe Narrows. She and her family spoke Michif.
