Abstract
Pierre Vandale was born in Cartlon, Saskatchewan. In Vandale's interview, he talks about his early childhood until being entered into a sanatorium from contracting tuberculosis. Vandale describes that during and after his recovery he worked in woodcutting and farm work. Vandale shares about his experiences in school, and his children's education; the North-West Resistance; Gabriel Dumont's departure following the end of the Resistance); Scrip agreements made with the government following the end of the Resistance and his' father's scrip; and the First and Second World Wars
