Joe Blondeau Interview

Abstract

Abstract provided by the Gabriel Dumont Institute: Joe was interviewed on August 19, 1982 in Lebret, Saskatchewan. Joe was the only one out of five children that was raised by his grandparents. He describes the home he lived in and some of the chores he had. Joe briefly discusses his school years, social events he attended and dances that were included, religion, clothing and wages. Joe discusses the availability of food and work during the Depression and how families were able to survive.
