Abstract

Abstract provided by the Gabriel Dumont Institute: "John was interviewed on September 14, 1976 in Stanley Mission, Saskatchewan. John Cook is a resident of Stanley Mission and knew and worked with Jim Brady. He also knew Malcolm Norris. He discusses the characters of the men and what they used to talk about, their popularity, what things were like for the people in the early days of the CCF, the effects of the welfare on the people. He worked in many mining companies and discusses some of the wages he received.
