Abstract provided by the Gabriel Dumont Institute: "Irene was interviewed on February 17, 1984 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. During this interview, Irene gives a general overview of her life as well as her attitudes towards being Métis. She has detailed discussions on the work that was available when she was growing up and what kind of wages she received... She also has detailed discussions on Catholicism, discrimination against Métis people, politics, home remedies, and education. Irene also touches on transportation, scrip, clothing and social life.
