Abstract

Abstract provided by the Gabriel Dumont Institute: Tom was interviewed on September 13, 1976 in Green Lake, Saskatchewan. Tom Fiddler is a resident of Green Lake and has been involved with the Métis Society since its beginnings in 1964. Tom discusses the early meetings of Métis Association, impressions of Malcolm Norris and his philosophy, Métis problems in the north prior to the development of the Association, and a meeting with Adrian Hope.
